I’m spoiled …

… Have been for some time. :(
Truth be told, I didn’t last the first weekend.
Do not proceed if you want to remain ‘unenlightened’

I don’t know all the details. I don’t want to.
I prefer to see the details animated.
It will be the end of something great.
And I want to watch it unfold …
with the respect this work of art deserves.

But I know the most important thing.
Well, the most important thing for me anyway.
And I have to say. It made me sad.
Then, I went through a whole mess of emotions.
Didn’t feel like drawing …
Just wanted to get on with other things …
I don’t know.
Maybe I was passing through the stages of grief?
But I had Maseiya for support.
Fandomme for inspiration.
And I knew I wasn’t alone.
It was a disappointing realization,
and almost every Zutaran felt it.


After a while, something changed.
Suddenly it came back.
That feeling I had when I began drawing Zutara.
I felt it was a beautiful story.
Back then I thought we wouldn’t see it. So I drew it.
Now that I know we won’t see it …
I’m more incensed to draw it!
THIS IS ZUTARA! After all.
I think I realized I like drawing them.
Their's is a wondrous and rich mythology.
The stuff of legend.
I enjoy romanticizing it.
And sharing it.


The picture:
It began as a sketch for something GreenifyMe was organizing.
But fate conspired against us all.
So it became a picture of friends.
Friends with benefits? :blushes:
The quote came later.
I found it on the web … when I searched for quotes on friendship.
I thought it appropriate.
I noticed my gallery was getting ‘DARK’ …
So I tried something a little different. :)

I still think they are beautiful together. :heart:

I have some of the same feelings really.. it happens but hey they are young and have the rest of their lives... i sure didnt marry the first guy i dated... i am glad for that too.

Oh Drisela :hug: Zutara will always be the most beautiful ship! :D And believe me, I felt your pain. Oh yes, yes, I did. :nod: But I am in total agreement with you that canon or not, it is an unbelievable ship. I am so happy to still be a part of it. :w00t: Oh and btw, that thing I was organizing...it's still on. :D I'll be noting everyone shortly with the date. The Zutarians need to be cheered up now more than ever and we need to show the Avatar fandom that something like this will not knock us down. :D Hang in there! And keep drawing! :glomp: :heart:

:depressed:I remember that feeling after hearing what couples do show up in the mag...my heart dropped and i felt sick and enraged, those feelings of hate have passed and of course i still draw Zutara!:nod: it's the best pairing of Avatar that i would enjoy seeing. Very nice job on this piece! And the quote fits nicely too! Zutarians: We won't go down without a fight! :salute:

Really nice picture! I still believe Zuko loves Katara....I don't know how much you know, so if you don't want to know something very sweet and Zutaratastic, and want to wait, don't read on...

I love how Zuko saves Katara and jumps in front of the lightning, and then she heals him! It's too sweet and beautiful.

Aw, this is so true. I was really sad and down when I first heard the news, too, but I've gotten over that bump.

I think our fanon is better than canon could have ever made it. :nod:

I love how happy they look and how close together they are in this, nice job! :XD:
