Yeah, It's weird when your ex is the MOON. I mean they can't go their whole lives NOT kissing at night. I think she knows he is a mortal guy and he needs love. ^_^ But any 'new' girl would have to know that the moon spirit will always be with him. And if she is not creeped out by that ... she's a keeper. ^_^

^_^ Er, maybe Sokka should wear Zuko's old helmet. (Just to be on the safe side.) ^_^

I've been in a kinda rotten mood lately, 'ya know, testing time and all, but this picture really lifted my mood. I can go on and on listing what I like about this picture, but, unfortunately I have to go to bed, so I'll just list a little bit!

For one, this is my favorite pairing. But saying that alone would make me kinda... well, for lack of better word, choosy/ picky. I like this pair for it's unapparent depth. Most people see it as a 'canon' pair, just because they kiss twice (Yes, I count the one in 104!), but it's much more complicated than that. Seeing a sweet, simple, and too the point picture of the pair kinda draws you away from the complexities and makes you see that they're a good pair for one another. This picture gives that feeling.

The sky is amazing. Really, it is, it just draws you in! And the moon, (full moon at that!) it really completes it.

The smallest things really seem to snag my attention.... The betrothal necklace! YES! And it's not one of the stereotypical nation sign ones! That just makes it all the more awesome! And it's green! Most people make them blue for some reason.... hm....

The hair.... OMJ the hair!! I can never do hair like that, and it kinda makes me mad, so when other people are able to do it, I kinda have to give them major kudos for being able to accomplish it.... I hardly mention it, but really, I envy that tiny ability!

As I draw these romantic illustrations I find it's more fun to fill the picture with symbols. If someone who never saw the show saw this drawing they would say, yeah, it's a couple kissing in the moolight....but any avatard can see that there are many meaningful symbols throughout.

The location: the beach, where the earth meets the water (isn't there an episode next season called the beach?) ^_^

The Moon (Yue): the full moon here shines down and casts a protective glow over the lovers ... I think she approves.

The Necklace: Let's face it Sokka is not the best sculptor (see bear/fish carving) so the necklace he carves is simple, two waves converge upon each other. The betrothal necklace is green because even if Suki becomes a bride of the water tribe she will always be a Kyoshi warrior. ^_^

Their Clothes: Neither wears their armor or weapons. I had Suki's robe falling open first so the moon could cast it's glow over her, but also to have their skin touching, just as the ocean touches the shore ...

Finally NO make-up. Neither wears their war paint (Perhaps that's another illustration...^_^) Here they have nothing to hide.

I think it's a really nice representation of THE most Canon ship we have. ^_^ Personally, I can't wait to see them reunited ... I know she is OK. ^_^
